Katherine A. Pfaff-Dehn

katherine pfaff-dehn

Katherine Ann Pfaff-Dehn, 73, of Enderlin, ND, passed away on June 21, 2025.

Kathy was born in Fargo, ND, on March 5, 1952, and grew up in rural Nome, ND. She graduated from high school in Enderlin, ND, in 1970, and attended NDSCS, where she met Alan Schlotfeldt. They married in 1972 and together had five children: Michelle, Robb, Vicki, Natalie, and Jay.

After their divorce, Kathy joined the U.S. Army in 1986 and served honorably for 8 years. She later settled back in Enderlin and married Michael Dehn in 2009. Between the two of them they had 7 children, 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Kathy loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Her presence will be deeply missed—whether playing card games, baking treats with the grandkids, BINGO, visiting with family and friends, day trips to the casino, shooting pool and cheering on those she loved during their sporting events.

Kathy’s strength, humor, and unconditional love touched the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will live on through the stories told, the laughter shared, and the love passed down from generation to generation.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We go back to the Nome school days, Kathy, Julie, my late sister Sandy and I. We all then went to Enderlin when Nome school would be closing. We had so many good times with Kathy, cruising around town, getting into some trouble maybe…or maybe not…who’s driving-who will put a buck or two in the gas tank! Kathy taught me how to drive a stick shift car, as she had one, she insisted. So many good times, I am forever grateful to have known you Kathy. To your family, keep Kathy’s memories alive, talk about her often, it will help you heal. God Bless

  2. Kathy only enjoyed a few years of retirement. We worked at the North Dakota Veterans Home. When I retired she told me one more year and I will be retiring. She will be missed by many.

  3. Kathy was so loved by me. We spent a lot of time together playing pool and trying to solve all the worlds problems. She was the best, with sound advice and encouragement. We worked together as a team. Always willing to help with anything. I will take her great friendship always. She meant the world to me.

  4. Sending a prayer to Kathy’s family, that they will find comfort and peace. She was a good friend and neighbor.
