Thomas "T-Bone" Knutson

March 17, 1953 ~ August 6, 2026

Born in: Fargo, North Dakota
Resided in: Fargo, North Dakota

Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Thomas Roger Knutson, who passed away on August 6, 2026. Tom lived with many passions and filled his days with music and laughter.

Those who knew Tom will remember his gentle nature (and impeccable taste in music). He had a way of making memories with everyone he met and made people feel included.

Please join us for a celebration of life on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Boulger Funeral Home. Guests are encouraged to wear something they think Tom would have liked (band tees, tie-dye, etc.). In Tom’s honor, the family invites you to send plants or donations in lieu of flowers.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Nicole, I know there are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone you have loved so deeply. I hope, with time, that the sadness will be softened by the wonderful memories you have of the musical life you shared together. A near perfect match as a couple. Tom on his keyboard playing effortlessly and you with your soothing, velvety voice or snappy, happy tune from long ago. Not necessarily at the same time or place, but you shared your talent with others so graciously.

Please know that I am thinking of you and your family and holding you close in my heart during this difficult time. I will always be grateful for the friendship I shared with Tom, and you as well.

    With love, hugs and friendship,
    Vicky

  2. Tom and I go way back as teenagers in our first successful band that included Jon (Stan) and Fred Finch. I will always remember the experience I had with Tom, Jon and Fred and Don Knutson who we can’t forget. I hope I can share some of the story at Tom’s service.

  3. Tom was a great friend. He was so much fun to be around, his laugh, his smile, his inquisitive nature not to mention an excellent musician.
