Adeline Coffman

Adeline Coffman, age 82, Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Bethany Homes, Fargo. Adeline Ernst was born December 7, 1923 on a farm near Danzig, ND. She grew up in the Danzig and Venturia ND area. She married Emil Engel February 27, 1943 and they farmed near Venturia, ND. They later divorced and she moved to California. She married Lawson Coffman February 27, 1965. She worked as a waitress and restaurant manager. The couple moved to Sheridan, Arkansas in 1987. Lawson died January 15, 1990, and Adeline moved to Fargo in 1995. She moved to Bethany Towers in 1998, and has lived in Bethany Nursing Home the past 2 years. Adeline enjoyed playing dominoes, quilting, and watching TV. Adeline is survived by 2 sons, Darrold (Alice) Engel, Fargo, ND and James (Gail) Engel, Port Angeles, WA; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Berniece Larson, West Fargo, ND, Inez (Kermit) Olson, Minneapolis, MN, and Annette Berlin, Apache Junction, AZ; and 1 brother, Roy (Gladys) Ernst , Apache Junction, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Coffman; a daughter Sonya; two brothers, Clayton and Freddie; and 4 sisters, Lorraine, Esther, Adeline, and Agnes.
