Adeline DuBord

adeline dubord

Adeline DuBord, age 83, died on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Bethany on University  under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Addie was born on August 31, 1930 in the Lisbon, ND area, where she grew up and attended school. She married David A. DuBord on November 3, 1949, and they made their home in Fargo as well as their Pelican Lake Home.

Addie loved her family and enjoyed cooking and baking for them all. She always had time to play a game or two, whether it be Yahtzee or Backgammon, etc… where she very seldom lost.

In approximately 2005, Alzheimers entered her life, taking away the many pleasures of knowing her great-grandchildren, of which she would have been overjoyed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Randi Molstad as well as her brothers and sisters; her husband, David and sons, Terrance and Dean.

Survivors include her sons, David (Barbara) DuBord of Kindred, ND; Richard (Liz) DuBord of Galva, IA; and Kerry (Kathy) DuBord of Hawaii; her daughters, Lorie Ann (Brent) Dietrich of Kindred, along with many grand and great-grandchildren.

A special Thank You to Bethany on University as well as Hospice of the Red River Valley for all their care and compassion. Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Mom ….. It’s been almost a month since you passed away. I have so many mixed emotions. First, I was sad BUT relieved to know your suffering was over. Then, glad as I truly believed you had been re-united with Dad and Dean as well as many other loved ones who had passed before. Now, I realize that a very important chapter in my life has been closed. The finality of it all is definitely causing me to reflect on old times. You were an amazing mother of whom I will always cherish. I guess time does heal as the memories of you suffering those last few years, are starting to be replaced by the fun and good times of old. May you rest in peace in the Hands of our Lord ? Love ~ Lorie

I worked with Addie at Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 10 years. Dave and Addie always had a smile and they made such a cute couple. I also remember how they loved to dance. We would love to visit about Blue Cross whenever we ran into each other. Everyone will be in my thoughts and prayers today as you celebrate her life. God Bless the life of Addie DuBord.

  4. La Jolla CAI remember that Aunt Addie was always smiling and had a very gentle way about her. I know, Lorie, that it is so difficult to see them go but when the Good Lord has prepared a place for them they will be glad he called them home. I left a message at your home today call when you are ready. I understand how you feel.
