Adeline passed away on June 5, 2016 at Sheyenne Crossing Care Center in West Fargo, ND. Adeline T. Erickson was born on February 13, 1922 to Theodore and Alma (Ellestad) Erickson on the home farm where she was raised. She was baptized and confirmed at Gol Lutheran Church and attended Kindred School. After graduating from Kindred High School in 1939, she attended Interstate Business College in Fargo and a year at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. She returned to Fargo for 2-3 years where she worked for WDAY announcer, Ken Kennedy during the Jack Frost Carnival and for Retail Credit Co. In 1946, Adeline moved to Minneapolis where she was employed for 39 years by Community Credit Co. (now Wells Fargo) as Corporate Secretary, retiring in 1985. Adeline sang in the choir for several years and was active in various church activities. She also enjoyed playing golf and traveling to Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, several Asian countries and within the United States. In June of 1999, she returned to Fargo. Adeline is survived by sister-in-law Addie Erickson, Fargo; 16 nieces and nephews, 33 grand-nieces and nephews and 28 great-grand-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Archie, Wallace, Donald, Martell and Kenneth; sister Ione Haugen; and sisters-in-law Adelyn Gedde, Beverly Erickson, Joyce Erickson, Betty Erickson; and great- grand niece Kennedy Jensen. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Sheyenne Crossing Care Center in West Fargo with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held in the Kindred Cemetery.
