Adeline Hans

Adeline Hans Fargo, North Dakota Formerly of Davenport, North Dakota Adeline passed away on January 13, 2008 at Manorcare Health Services in Fargo at the age of 101. Adeline Buchholtz was born on April 6, 1906, the daughter of Herbert L. and Minnie (Fredrick) Buchholtz, in Davenport, ND. She moved with her family to a farm near Durbin, ND where she attended school. Adeline was united in marriage to Clemens C. Hans on November 10, 1927. They made their home on a farm near Davenport until the fall of 1964 when they moved into Davenport. He passed away on October 7, 1967 and Adeline moved to Fargo in July of 1987. She was able to live in her own apartment until moving to Manorcare in December 2001. Adeline was very active in the Moravian church all of her life. She was a Sunday school teacher, served as church organist for many years, and was a member of the Ladies Aid. Adeline is survived by her children, Carolyn (LoWaine) Mische of Bismarck, ND; Virgil (Dorthea) Hans of Davenport, ND; and Shirley Janssen of Fargo; 10 grandchildren; and several very dear great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clemens; one grandson; two brothers; three sisters; and her son-in-law, Darrell Janssen.
