Albert Holzkamm

Albert F. Holzkamm Albert ?Crash? Holzkamm passed away on Friday, June 22, 2007 at MeritCare Hospital Palliative Care Unit at the age of 91. Albert was born on January 19, 1916, the son of Emil and Agnes (Preuss) Holzkamm in Blanchard, ND. He grew up in this area and received his education. Albert began working in area shops as a mechanic following his schooling. He worked for Holzkamm Pontiac in Hillsboro for over 20 years. Albert retired in 1980 and began working for Schipper Construction for the next 13 years. Albert spent his days enjoying fishing, a good game of cards, visiting with friends over coffee, and gardening. He moved to ManorCare Nursing Home in Fargo in 2000 where he has lived since. Albert was also a volunteer fireman in Hillsboro for many years. Albert is survived by his children - Frances Deakin, James Holzkamm, Richard Holzkamm, Emily Elliott, Melody (Ralph) Elliott, Billy Holzkamm, Rose (Melvin) Shea, Kathy (Ed) Ackerman, Pat (James) Henka, Albert (Cindy) Holzkamm, Randy Holzkamm, and Beth (Roger) Mammenga; 29 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Charles Holzkamm, Terri Nelson, and Rosie Koval; his wives, Viola Fenske and Frances Holzkamm; his two brothers and one sister; and his parents.
