Alice Baumann, 63, Fargo passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo surrounded by her family after a 17 year battle  with cancer.

Alice was born January 11, 1950 in North Dakota to John and Mary (Goldade) Schumacher. She grew up near Venturia, North Dakota on the family farm. She graduated from Zeeland High School in 1968. After graduation, she moved to Fargo where she worked at St. Luke’s Hospital as a CNA. On June 27, 1970, she married Allen Baumann at St. John’s Catholic Church in Zeeland, North Dakota. They made their home in Fargo for a short time before moving to Minot until 1975, when they moved back to Fargo.

As a member of the Apostolic Bible Church in Moorhead, MN, Alice always kept God at the center of her life. From ministering to Sunday school kids to volunteering in Hospice. At the nursing home, she always let people know how much she cared and showed God's love.

  7. Moorhead MN
I have never known anyone as strong and brave as Alice. She suffered so many years with cancer but stayed as active as she could and didn’t complain. I always marveled at her strength but really that strength came from God.
When she taught Sunday School she was an awesome teacher. She cared and loved those children to Jesus. If I ever needed her to do something for me, she was always there. Even in the later stages of cancer she worked on costumes for the Christmas play. She was thrilled when she could help. She’d always tell me she could either hurt at home or hurt doing something. She chose to get out and do something worthwhile. Alice was an incredible strong woman of God. An inspiration! Love you Alice. You were very dear to me. Praying for God’s strength and comfort to all the family. Love you all.

  16. San Mateo CaliforniaTo Alice’s Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. As the days and weeks pass, and you return to life’s routine, may you be comforted by our …God and Father of our Lord… the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are being comforted by God”. (2 Cor. 1: 3, 4). Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Please also find comfort in the following: John 11:11 where Jesus said, “…Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from the sleep.” Our Heavenly Father holds out the hope of the resurrection and the ability to see our loved ones again.
