Alice Carlson, 88, Fargo, formerly of Cando, North Dakota, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 10, 2010.

Alice Carlson was born to George and Marie  Anderson at Barton, ND on November 21, 1921. She grew up and attended school in Willow City ND where she graduated from High School. Alice then attended the Aaker Business College in Grand Forks, ND  and after graduating began working for Corwin Churchill in Fargo as a bookkeeper. Alice Anderson and Vernon Carlson were married on October 19, 1948 in Barton, ND. They moved to Cando, ND where they farmed together until retiring in1986. They moved in to the city of Cando in 1986 and lived there in the Summer and in Mesa in the Winter until moving to Edgewood Vista in April of this year.

Alice is survived by her husband, Vernon, Fargo; daughter, Connie (Rex) Stevens, Columbia Falls, MT; 4 grandchildren, Mathew Jenner, Minot, ND, Amy (Jerry) Peick, Rathdrum, ID, Jessica Jenner, Minot, ND, Kaitlyn Gehres, Minot, ND; 5 great grandchildren, Tessa, Casey and Christopher Jenner, Brooklynn and Iszabella Peick; 1 brother, Arnold ( Ann) Anderson, Fargo, ND, and 1 sister, Thelma Martinson, New Ulm MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Leonard and Henry.

May God Bless and Comfort Vernon, her family and all her many friends. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and now she rests in the Lord’s loving arms.
