Alice Witcik

Alice Elizabeth (Hein) Witcik, age 87, of Shoreview, MN, formerly of Fargo, ND died on March 20, 2008 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Alice Hein was born on June 22, 1920 in Fargo, ND to Edward and Alice (Mielke) Hein. She grew up in Sheldon, ND and graduated from high school there in 1938. She worked at the West Fargo Livestock Commission until 1940. Alice was united in marriage to Harry Witcik in October 1944. They made their home in Fargo. Harry passed away in 1980. Alice has spent the past 8 years living with her daughter, Mary in Shoreview. Alice was an active member of St. Mary?s Cathedral and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and sister-in-law: Edward and Marian Hein. Alice is survived by her children, Mary of Shoreview, MN; Joan (Dale) Cousins of Phoenix, AZ; Thomas of Rockford, IL; Michael (Abby) of Collinsville, IL; Patrick (Teresa) of Rochester, IL; Nancy (Dr. David) Lehmiller of Sour Lake, TX; Joseph (Debora) of Freeport, IL; Dr. William (Debra) of Bettendorf, IA; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Joshua), Michael (Elizabeth), Kristin (Eric), Joshua, Elizabeth, Nathan, Michelle, Jason, Christopher, Daniel, Kayla, Matthew, Kevin; her great granddaughter, Alexa; and her brother, Ronald (Joan) Hein of San Diego, CA. Visitation: Sunday, March 23 from 5-7 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour prior to Mass in the church on Monday. Prayer Service: Sunday, March 23, at 7:00 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Funeral Mass: Monday, March 24 at 10:00 am at St. Mary?s Cathedral, Fargo. Interment: Holy Cross North Cemetery, Fargo.
