Allen Krehlik
January 15, 1971 ~ May 8, 2022
Allen’s services will be livestreamed below at 2:00 PM Monday, May 23,2022.
Allen Girard Krehlik, 51, died May 8, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. He was born on January 15, 1971 to Bohumel and Appolonia (Anton) Krehlik at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dickinson, ND. When Allen entered the world, he joined his sister Mary Kaye on the family farm north of Belfield, ND. He attended South Heart School until his father passed away in 1984, then Allen and his mom moved to Dickinson, where he attended and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1989. Allen then made his way to Fargo and lived there until the time of his death.
Allen married Carreen Krenzel on May 17, 1997 and later divorced. There were no children of this union.
Allen married Lisa Schornack in March 11, 2017, and together they adopted Brooklynn and Alli in August 2017. Lisa was the love of Allen’s life and were soul mates and loved each other deeply and so much so that they never walked out the door without giving each other kisses goodbye. Along with Lisa, Brooklynn and Alli stole the heart of Allen. He loved his daughters immensely. Lisa had two children, Kyleen and Elijah and a granddaughter, Arabella whom Allen also loved.
Allen loved growing up on the farm. You could find him talking to all the animals on the farm; cats, dogs, pigs, cows, and even the chickens. He had a knack of scarring his mother, by crawling up to the roof of a tall barn or not being able to find him because he was in the chicken coup. It took her a while to calm down. Since Allen was six years younger than Mary Kaye, she took it upon herself to always be teaching Allen when school was not in session. He just loved it! Not! But he did put up with it, because of his kind heart.
Music was a great passion of Allen’s. He played drums in high school, later picking up the guitar and keyboard. He was a natural born musician, coming by it naturally from his mom. Many of you know that he traveled many places, playing with his band, Beggars Cut.
Allen is survived by his children Brooklynn and Alli Krehlik, step daughter Kyleen (Kyle) Worful and granddaughter Arabella, step son Elijah Gott, sister Mary Kaye (Neil) Knudsen and nephews Aaron and Ayden Knudsen, step dad Anton Fichter, mother-in-law Sally Schornack, step sister Janell (Dennis) Stradinger, step brother Terry (Karla) Fichter, brother-in-laws Cory (Jennifer) Schornack, and Chad (Sara) Schornack, aunts Mary Ann (Don) Chantry, Hattie Anton, Loretta Anton, and Mary Ann Krehlik, and uncles Victor Oukrop and Louis Helfrich.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lisa Krehlik, parents Bohumel and Appolonia Krehlik, grandparents Christ and Katie Anton, step brother James Fichter, and many aunts and uncles.
Service will be held at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND on Monday, May 23. A gathering of friends and visitation will be held 1-2 pm following a funeral service at 2 pm. Presiding will be Pastor Neil Knudsen.
I was heartbroken to hear of Allen’s passing this morning. He was fun to work with on the monument for his parents and he would talk about his kids quite a bit.
