Allen N. Mickelson

Allen N. Mickelson, 93, Fargo passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at Bethany on 42nd, Fargo under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Allen was born October 26, 1922 in Davenport, North Dakota to Milford and Nora (Luidahl) Mickelson. He graduated from Davenport High School. He worked on the family farm and also worked as a crop insurance adjustor. He married Geraldine Olson on August 27, 1944 at Christiania Church, rural Kindred. They made their home in the Davenport area. Geraldine passed away on December 17, 2004.
Allen was extremely active in his church and community.
He is survived by his children, Keith (Kris) Mickelson, Hitterdal, MN, Nannette (Rick) Petersen, Winter Haven, FL; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Norheim, Waconia, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Geraldine, sisters, Margaret Mogle and Marilyn Wichmann.
Prayer Service: 7:00 P.M. Monday, June 13, 2016 at Fredrikson-Boulger Funeral Chapel, Kindred with visitation starting at 6:00 P.M.
Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Davenport Lutheran Church, Davenport, ND.
Burial: Kindred Cemetery, Kindred ND.
Memorials preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley and/or Davenport Lutheran Church.
