Amanda Myers
January 27, 1980 ~ December 25, 2023
Amanda Kay Myers, beloved wife, daughter, and devoted mother, peacefully passed away on December 25, 2023, at the age of 43 in Fargo, North Dakota. Born on January 27, 1980, in Indiana, Amanda was the cherished daughter of Timothy and Debra Smith.
Amanda’s determination and zest for life were evident from a young age. She completed her education at Kofa High School in Yuma, Arizona, and graduated in 1998. Throughout her high school years, Amanda was actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including serving as a Drum Major and participating in FFA, 4H, and the Girl Scouts. Her dedication to her studies was remarkable, even taking college courses while still in high school.
On November 27, 2004, Amanda exchanged vows with the love of her life, Shawn Myers, in a heartfelt ceremony held in Evansville, Indiana. Their marriage was a testament to their unwavering love and commitment to each other.
Amanda pursued her passion for working with animals and became a respected Veterinary Technician. Her love and compassion for animals were evident in her every interaction. She tirelessly cared for countless furry companions, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of both animals and their owners.
However, Amanda’s most cherished role was that of a mother. She treasured her time spent with her children and took great joy in nurturing and guiding them. The love and warmth she provided within her family were unparalleled, creating a loving and supportive home.
Outside of her family life, Amanda found solace in her love for horses, an admiration that sparked from an early age. Whether riding or simply being in their presence, Amanda was most content with spending time with these majestic creatures. Additionally, she had a deep affection for dogs and all animals, reflecting her kind and compassionate nature.
Early on in Amanda and Shawn’s marriage, while their girls were young, they loved taking road trips to places such as Michigan and Florida. They loved the drive while listening to music. Among her other interests, Amanda had a passion for Alabama Football and enjoyed following her favorite team. Additionally, she loved to cook, finding joy in preparing meals for her loved ones, creating memorable moments through the sharing of food and laughter.
Amanda will be deeply missed by her loved ones, including her devoted husband, Shawn Myers; her daughters, Mattie and Kerrington; her father, Timothy; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded by her mother, Debra Smith; and mother-in-law
