Anna “Ann” M. Lucy, 85, Fargo passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at her home.

Ann Bohl was born to Jack and Katie (Fettig) Bohl on November 17, 1939 in rural Berwick, ND. She married Gene Lucy on October 13, 1959 at St. Anselm’s Catholic Church in Fulda, ND. They moved to Valley City, Finley, and Fargo, ND while Gene worked for NW Bell.

Ann was an active volunteer in her church having served countless funeral lunches, taught faith formation, on the board of MACH 1, and leader in CHRP (Christ Renews His Parish). She also volunteered with Hospice of the Red River Valley.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, and tending to her flowers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Hospice of the RRV and Women’s Care Center.

Ann is survived by her husband; children: Roxanne May (Mark) Fargo, ND, Dale Lucy (Marilyn) St. Joseph, MI, Brenda Lucy (Janelle) Minneapolis, MN; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters: Barbara Vannett (Larry) Minot, ND, Rosie Rodriquez, Minot, ND, Linda Volk (Daniel) Karlsruhe, ND, brothers: Phillip (Sharon) Towner, ND, Lewis, Minot, ND, George (Mary Anne) Minot, ND, and James (Shelly) Upham, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Raymond Lucy; daughter: Ramona “Mona” Lucy; granddaughter, Amanda May; sisters: Theresa Palmer, Margaret Diebert, Lena Keller, Regina Guffey; brothers-in-law, Joe Keller, Corwin Guffey, Leonard Palmer and Martin Diebert, and sister-in-law, Mary Bohl.

  5. My condolences to the Lucy family. I always enjoyed talking to Ann at Nativity and I still have a rosary that she made. Peace be with you.

  6. As a long time member of Nativity Connie and I had the pleasure of knowing Ann and Gene via their very active faith participation at Nativity. They attended daily roseries and always familiar faces with their regular pew every Sunday and Holy Days. Ann always had a smile and kind word for others, it was a great pleasure having the opportunity to know her and Gene. Ann – you have a fast track to heaven!!!!!! God Bless

  7. I have known Ann for many years. she was such a faith filled person, and served wherever needed for the Nativity church. Such a great example of true faith. She will be missed. “May the Angels Welcome Her to Paradise”
