Annabelle (Lee) Kent, 85, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at The Evergreens, Fargo surrounded by family.

Annabelle Lee was born June 20, 1926 in Gary, MN to Halvor and Olga (Kittelson) Lee.  Annabelle graduated from Gary High School.  She graduated from Dakota Business College.  She married Robert Kent on June 6, 1948 in Wahpeton.  In 1949 Robert began working as an electrician for the R.E.A., living in numerous cities.  The couple lived in Bismarck until 1964. When they moved to Fargo she became the head bookkeeper for B.P.O. Elks Lodge #260 until 1981.  She later worked as an accounting clerk for Home Brands (a division of Peavey) in Minneapolis, MN. 

After retiring the couple lived on Big Detroit Lake for 10 years, moving to Moorhead, MN in 1990. Annabelle lived at Riverview Place for 2 years before moving to The Evergreens about 1 year ago.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary, where they were lifetime members.  She was a member of the Red Hats Society.  She was inducted into the Fargo-Moorhead Bowling Hall of Fame in 1998.  She enjoyed golfing, quilting, and watching the Twins.  She was very active at Grace United Methodist where she sang in the choir. 

She is survived by her son, William “Bill” (Jocelyn); grandchildren, Kelley and Kristopher; great-grandchild, Aiden; sister, Inez Noto, Beloit, WI; and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and husband.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
