Annette Grossman, 72, of Horace, passed away on Monday, November 28, at Essentia Health in Fargo.

Annette E. Jewett Grossman was born on January 17, 1939 to Guy and Edith (Anderson) Jewett. She grew up on a farm near Leal, ND. As a young child Annette suffered from polio, and was selected as the Easter Seals poster child for polio awareness. Annette graduated in 1957 from Leal High School. After graduating she attended Valley City State College for 2 years. She worked for Pepsi Cola Company for 42 years as an accountant, starting in Valley City then Fargo, ND. On May 25, 1974 she was united in marriage to Ervin Grossman, in Fargo.

Annette loved spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews, and enjoyed the lakes, playing bingo, traveling, and she was avid NASCAR and Elvis fan.

She is survived by her husband Ervin Grossman Sr. of Horace; step-son Ervin Jr. (Coreena) of Fargo; granddaughter, Miranda; Brothers: Gordon Jewett (Karen) of Valley City, Kenneth Jewett, of Rogers, ND, Vernon (Doris) Jewett of Audubon, MN, Eugene (Cheryl) Jewett, Rogers, ND; sister: Janice (Gordon) Klein of Eckelson, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a baby daughter, Sarah.

    I remember all the good times we had together, in the family kitchen in Leal, listening to Elvis, making plans for our Saturday nites in VC and cruising around, also our horseback riding together. We had fun. You will never be forgotten. My deepest sympathies.

  10. Highlands Ranch COI worked with Nettie at Pepsi in Fargo – she trained me well – I was a bit intimidated at first but soon learned what a great and kind lady she was. After she retired I looked forward to her stopping in the office to pick up her case of Diet Pepsi… was always fun to catch up on the happenings at the lake or hear what the latest project was. I am thankful for having known Nettie. My deepest sympathies to all of her family!
