Anton "Tony" Schumacher

Anton ?Tony? T. Schumacher, age 69, Fargo, died Friday, July 15, 2005. Tony battled Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer since 1989. Tony was born August 8, 1935, in Napoleon, ND, the son of Peter and Rose (Sperle) Schumacher. Following his high school graduation, Tony began his career as a train depot agent. He was united in marriage to Alice Senger on July 17, 1954, in Linton, ND. He worked for the Burlington Northern for 38 years which transferred him to many locations in North Dakota and seven years in Minneapolis, MN. They moved to Fargo in 1979, and he retired in 1991. Tony enjoyed traveling, family genealogy and farming. He is survived by his wife, Alice; daughters, Audrey (Dan) Hodorff, Debra Hansen, and Renee (Paul) Granos; and son, Brent (Denise) Schumacher. He had ten grandchildren: Derek, Ross, Jill, Cassandra, Jake, Allison, Jack, Madelyn, Madison, and Alexander. He is also survived by one brother, Don Schumacher; and one sister, Darlene (Andy) Weigel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Peter Schumacher.
