Toni Walker
Antonia Cecile Walker, 88, Walcott, ND passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Bethany on 42nd in Fargo. She was born on July 13, 1931 to Alphonse and Yvonne (Fugere) Cossette in Fargo, ND. She grew up in the Fargo area, living on farms in various towns in the Valley. In 1949, she graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. Toni then attended NDAC, now NDSU, and Interstate Business College before beginning work as a legal secretary.
On October 29, 1951 she was united in marriage to Everett “Al” Walker at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo and they remained married until his passing 1995. The couple lived all over the United States, several times in California. Toni and Al settled on a farmstead near Walcott in 1974. Toni worked as a secretary at AARP until her retirement.
For many years, Toni was a senior companion for local senior citizens around Kindred. She was honored with a dinner for her years of service.
Toni loved to travel. Over the years, she went to Canada, Cozumel, Mexico, Paris, France, and Scotland, UK.
She is survived by her children, Yvonne (Scott) Walker Carmichael; Jacquelyn (Warren) Walker Peterson, and Doug (Johanna) Walker; siblings, Clem Cossette and Rene Cossette; grandchildren, Alicia (Reese) McGann; Amanda (Tathum) Rossow; Mathew (Alexis) Walker; Samantha (Jeremy Vigen) Walker; Jackie (Daniel) Hopewell; great-grandsons, Nicholas, Andrew, and Tyler Vigen; Emmett Walker; and Walker Rossow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Al; sons, Steve and Bob; sisters, Evelyn Jacob; and Gladys English.

I’m so sorry for the Walker family’s loss my prayers and thoughts are with you during this very difficult time! It was a great pleasure to meet and to have been able to take care of Toni, she was a true sweetheart so kind, loving, classy, and all around fun lady! I will miss our late night talks and her smile and laughter! I’m glad she is at peace and pain free now. Rest in peace my friend Toni love you and will greatly miss you❤❤!! Till we meet again!!

Toni was such a special person. It was a pleasure knowing her and caring for her. Her smile lit up a room. I was so sad to hear of her passing but it is comforting to know she is with her husband and at peace. I am thankful for the relationship I was privileged to have with Toni and her wonderful family.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. It was so fun to be at your house when I was younger and your mom was always wonderful. Yvonne and Jackie you look so much like your mom. She was a beautiful woman. I wish I could be there in person but hope that this gives you some amount of comfort. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
