We gather to honor and celebrate the life of Augustine J. Zulu, a devoted husband, loving father, pastor, and cherished member of his family and community.
Augustine J. Zulu was born on May 6, 1973, in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County, Liberia, to Esther Zulu and the late Robert Zulu. He was raised among a large and loving family, growing up alongside his siblings: Rufus Zulu, Benorah Zulu Pyne, Rajackson Zulu, Cephus Zulu, Helen Zulu Gediah, Catherine Zulu, Roselyns Zulu, Princesse Zulu, and Secret Zulu.
He served as a pastor in Ivory Coast, where he faithfully led and supported his community through ministry. In 2004, he immigrated to the United States, where he continued a life dedicated to faith, service, and family.
He was the beloved husband of Felicia Zulu, with whom he shared 28 years of marriage filled with love, strength, and partnership.
Augustine was a proud and devoted father to his children: Decontee, Linda, Favour, Justine, Austin, Miracle, Wonderful, and Augustine. He was also a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren, who brought him great joy.
Beyond his family, Augustine was deeply involved in his community. He was known for his kindness and willingness to help others, especially by assisting many with immigration paperwork. He was a member of several organizations and remained active in his church, where he faithfully served and supported others.
He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, all of whom were touched by his generosity and care.
Augustine will be remembered for his warm heart, his faith, his service to others, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, mother, siblings, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Zulu.
