Barbara Fear

Barbara “Barb” Jean Fear passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the age of 64. Barb was born in Britton, SD to Doris Lanz and Roy Williams on April 9, 1956. Shortly after the family moved to Fort Leonard, MI. In August 1956 her father was discharged from the service and then they family moved back to Hot Springs, SD where they lived until 1965. Afterwards, they moved back to Britton, SD for several years until the family moved to Ellendale, ND in 1972 where she attended high school. From here she lived in various other cities until she spent her last 10 years in Fargo, ND.
She spent most her life working in childcare as she had an immense love for children. Her hobbies included many creative things such as drawing, painting and doing diamond artwork along with her passion and love of Betty Boop. Barb had a special relationship with God and spent many hours studying the Bible while sipping coffee and attending online church services. On the weekends she loved spending time with her grandson Rylan and chatting with her family and friends.
Barb was preceded in death by her father Roy Williams, brother Chuck Williams, and brother-in-law Timothy Gengler.
Barb is survived by her mother Doris Lanz, siblings Rodney (Vicky) Williams, Patti (Dale) Keck, Marlene (Brent) Houghton, her children Sherri (Rod) Hochhalter, Brad (Tonya) Roehl, Chad Nell, Blake Nell, her grandchildren Samantha Dirk, Jayde Olson, Keegan Nell, Kacyn Nell, Nevaeh Roehl, Haven Roehl, Vera Roehl, Rylan Nell and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Sympathies to all the families. Barb was a wonderful lady. She worked @ CBE Middle School as Kitchen Assistant & we all shared many good times, what a great team member.

In college, I worked with Barb at a childcare center in Fargo. She was a wonderful lady, I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. Sending prayers to all her loved ones.
As a fellow FPS employee I had the chance to talk with Barb may times. I will miss her smiles and her to the point discussions. Prayers to the family of this fine lady.
I had the pleasure to give Barb a hard time almost every day . We would tease each other all the time. She had such a good perspective on things. I know everyone will miss her! Tom B
