Barbara Garvin

Barbara J. Garvin, 73, Fargo, ND, died at Sanford Health on February 3, 2011.

Barbara was born to Francis and Evyline (Fyten) Garvin on November 6, 1937 in Bertha, MN.  She grew up on the family farm near Parkers Prairie and graduated from Moorhead High in 1957.  She attended St. John's School of Nursing, Fargo and graduated from UND School of Nursing, Grand Forks, ND  in 1959.  She returned to Fargo and worked at St. John's as an RN surgical nurse.  She retired in 1991.

Barbara loved gardening, yard work, needle point, and embroidering.

Barbara is survived by her sisters, Marlys (Harlow) Braun, Moorhead, MN,  and Marie Francis Leamy, Lodi, CA;  5 nephews,  and nieces,  11 great nephews and nieces and 2 great, great-nephews.
