Bernice Fleischer

Bernice (Bea) Luella Fleischer, formerly of Hillsboro ND, was called to her eternal rest in Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at the Lakeridge Care Center in Roseville, MN. Bernice was born at her grandparents? home in Reynolds ND to Albert and Ethel Fosberg on April 15, 1928. She was baptized and confirmed at Rosendahl Lutheran Church and was later united in marriage in the same church to Bernard Fleischer of Hillsboro ND on June 22, 1952. Prior to her marriage, Bea (as most of her friends knew her) began work as a nurse?s aide at Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks. After her children were adolescents, she worked for many years as an aide with Hillsboro Community Hospital. Bea was actively involved with St John?s Lutheran Church of Hillsboro ND, especially enjoying Bible study and quilting. Her passions were scrapbooking and writing to her many friends and families, especially her many first cousins with whom she kept active contact. Bea was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ben, in 1979, and her brother Clifton. Bea is survived by three daughters: Elizabeth/Liz (Rog) Seeger of Little Canada MN; Audrey Fleischer of St. Michael MN; Ruth (Roger) Hallquist of Cedar Rapids IA; grandson Aaron and granddaughter Kelli Hallquist; grandsons Sean, Steven, and Michael Seeger and Larry Walsh; sisters-in-law Delores Fosberg of Waukesha WI and Darlene Shear of Fargo ND; numerous nephews and nieces and cousins. Memorials may be sent to Dakota Boys Ranch or St John Lutheran Church of Hillsboro ND.
