  2. Santa Rosa califDear Paul, Tom, and John and all the family. Marlys, myself, Cathy, Shawn and Clay send our deepest sympathy. We regret very much that we were not closer to be more support. We enjoyed your mother’s Christmas letters. We spent an afternoon with your mother and Mark and Jean Bopp at Jeff Bopps sons wedding. We did so enjoy your mothers wit and humor. She was a very wise lady. I sent several e-mails to her, but never receive a reply. If any of you come to Northern Calif. We would be glad to have you visit and spend some time with us at our residence. I am sure your Grandmother
Lavon would want you to stop and stay.
We will keep all of you and your Mother and Dad in our prayers.
    With Love and best regards,
    W. L. “CHRIS” CHRISTIANSON AND FAMILY.

  3. I, along with my many sisters and brother grew up on a neighboring farm to the Libbrechts. Betty, my sisters, and I would play together whenever we could and we attended 4-H club with her. I went to high school with your mom and was on the pom-pom squad with her as well. Betty always would use her quick wit to make everyone giggle right along with her. I was able to see Betty at Sheyenne Crossings the first of the year. She talked about and showed me pictures of her sons and her grandchildren. I immediately saw the love and pride she felt for each of you. She will be in your hearts forever. May God grant you all peace.

  4. Orlando Fl.I had the amazing opportunity to work with Bette for 10 years. I was her wine broker and I absolutely loved working with her. She was such an amazing woman and was so funny. She always would give a “smart …” comment to certain questions and then laugh quietly on the other end of the line. She was a great lady who would tell me lots of stories about her kids & grandchildren.
The whole family is in my thoughts and prayers, I will miss her dearly b/c of the impression she made on me. I can only imagine how you all feel.
    God Bless

  5. So sorry to hear of Bette’s passing. I knew her in high school and she was always a breath of fresh air. My husband and Bette were classmates and I was a year behind them in school. I lost my husband three years ago to colon cancer. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  6. Bismarck ND
I had the benefit of working with Bette early in my career with the health department. She was a beautiful person with a caring and giving heart. She always had a smile for you and a kind word. Remember her smiling and talking. Remember her living and the memories that you created and shared. Take comfort in the way that she would want you to keep her memory close – not with sorrow, but with joy, peace and love. With special remembrance of your loved one – Susan

Dear John, Paul, Tom and family–

Your mother was a gracious, loving, wonderful woman and I will miss her dearly. Her dry sense of humor played off mine so well and she could make me laugh at anything. Bette was a joy to spend time with and will never be replaced.
She told me to come see her in the Spring & I think she knew she would not be there.
I am so sorry that I can not be there. I just learned of your loss tonight. Please acceot my sincerest sympathies and know you are all in my heart and prayers.
Your wonderful Mother is now with Mr. D again and will be watching over you all.

With deep sympathy and love to all

  11. Bismarck ND
    Dear Deede Family,
I am very sorry the loss of your mom, Bette. I had the privilage to work with her when she was the Relgious Ed. Director at Blessed Sacrament. We had lots of fun coordinating together Vacation Bible School in the summer of ’07. The theme was “Avalanche Ranch” and I was amazed at all of the cowboy themed items that Bette was able to get her hands on to turn the church into a real ranch. She loved working with kids and had such a fun- loving spirit about her. I am blessed to have known such a wonderful person.

  12. Devils Lake ND
Betty was a wonderful Lady and will be greatly missed by many. Our sincere sympathy. We are sorry we cannot be with you at this time.

I am truly sorry we have lost such a wonderful woman and my heart goes out to you boys. Let her strong faith be a constant, shining example for each of you.

    With deep and sincere sympathy,

  15. Devils Lake We don’t think we ever had an encounter with Bette when we didn’t leave smiling and laughing. To say she had a quick wit is an understatement. Her old DL neighborhood will remember her fondly, probably in costume, with Randy by her side, at a block party.

  16. Devils Lake ND
To Bette’s family: we are so sorry for your loss. I worked with Randy at Ramsey Bank and had the priviledge of betting to know Bette there as well. I worked with her on many projects and truly enjoyed being around Bette and Randy. Both were a breath of fresh air. I know God and Randy welcomed her to her heavenly home and I pray that he gives you strength during this very difficult time.

  17. Helena MTDear Bette,

It was probably illegal to have as much fun as we did back in West Fargo. It was delightful getting to know you as woman of great strength and faith. I am going to miss your quick wit, solid resolve, and “can do” attitude. Until we reunite again,

    so long my dear friend,

    Glambertz

  18. Dear family and Friends, as you say goodbye to your dear sweet Bette, I pray you will always hold in your heart and memories the unique personality of such a beautiful woman. Her smile was contagious, her warmth was so embracing. May God be with you all as He carries His beloved servant, Bette, home where she dances with angels and basks in the Glory of God. In sympathy and love, Debbie Brand

  19. Minot ND
My condolensces to all the family and friends of Bette. Bette will remain a vibrant, energetic, positive person in my memory. I loved her laugh and zest for life and people. I knew Bette through public health and always sought her out whenever I was able to do so. She had a tremendous positive influence on all around her. Take care of yourselves during this stressful time. God bless you and may he hold you all in the palm of his hand. Kelly

  20. Langdon ND
    Paul, Tom and John,
Just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your Mom. I worked with your Dad at the bank in Langdon, when he would come up from Grafton. Your folks were SO much fun to be around, SO entertaining and genuine! I have thought about Bette several times since your Dad’s passing, wondering how things were going for her. They were truly one-of-a kind and so perfectly matched for each other. And my goodness, how PROUD they were of their sons! I am so blessed to have known first your Dad, then your dear, dear mother. Wishing you God’s blessings and comfort, Nancy & Wayne Coyle, Langdon, ND

  21. West Fargo ND
Deede family, I did not know your mom but was a classmate of your dads @WHS. We always sat together as you can see by my maiden name. Your dad was such a sweet guy and sounds like your mom was a wonderful mate. Please accept my condolences on the loss of both of your parents at such a young age.

  22. Devils Lake ND
The Deede Family, The world lost a dear lady on March 7th. Her battle with cancer over the past years was a tough one. She remained strong in her faith, upbeat in her attitude and courageous in the fight against this terrible disease. I so enjoyed working with Bette at LRDHU and being a part of the Relay for Life team with her for a few years until she left Devils Lake and moved to Fargo. She will always be remembered in our hearts. She made an impact on every person she crossed paths with. She taught morals to her family and set a great example of how one should live each day that is granted by our Father, GOD. My sympathies to the family as you mourn the loss of your Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Dearest Friend. GOD bless and keep you strong.
