Betty Jackson

Betty Rae Jackson, 89, West Fargo, ND, passed away at Bethany Retirement Living on Saturday, April 18, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 2, 1936, to Martin and Bertha Johnson and graduated from Park River High School in 1954. She married Ronnie Jackson on August 9, 1955, and together they made their home in Cavalier, ND and raised five children. They moved to Fargo in 1979 where Betty lived till Ronnie’s passing in 1983.

Betty was a collector. She loved dolls and knick-knacks and collected A LOT! She enjoyed a good WWE Wrestling match and always wanted to give “them cheaters” a piece of her mind. Betty never had an empty house. She was always babysitting or taking in anyone who needed a bed. She was also and most importantly, a big shopper, which went along with her collecting. She was always spotting a little something that would be perfect for anyone she had in mind.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie; daughter, Rebecca; parents; and five of her siblings.

She is survived by her brother, Bobby Jim, McCluskey, ND; four sons, Jimmy, Detroit Lakes, MN, Bert (Bonnie), Grafton, ND, Ricky (Kristi), Detroit Lakes, and Todd, Grand Forks, ND; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many other nieces and nephews scattered throughout the country.

Betty’s family will be holding a graveside service at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Cavalier City Cemetery with a gathering to follow at the Cavalier American Legion.
