Colleen & family,
So very sorry for your loss. I remember Bev and her smile but mostly her love of all things related to Coca Cola.
Fly high Mt beautiful auntie❤️
I was just remembering a visit to your place in Minneapolis when I was around 10 or 11 (1979-80). It was a miserably hot summer day. Chuck started the grill and showed everyone his truck. We were sitting in the shade just trying to manage the unbearable heat of the day when there was a shrill scream. Bev started running and swearing at Chuck. I was immediately afraid something horrible was happening or going to happen because fear ruled my life at that time. I was sure someone was going to get hurt. But I slowly learned in just a few moments how much Bev and Chuck truly enjoyed each other when I figured out that he had sprayed her with the hose! It wasn’t long before she chased him down with that determined half-menacing and half-gleeful smirk that only aunt Bev could wield. He was no match for her as she wrangled the hose from him and chased him around the yard spraying him as he fled. There was so much laughter. I was astonished to realize that such an act could result in smiles and lightheartedness instead of what I typically saw. I learned a lot that day. Thanks auntie Bev for being such a warm and kind and loving person, for bringing joy into my life and the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know you. <3
Dear Rita and Coco,
I just watched the video of the service for your mom, and I was touched by how much love everyone felt for her. She clearly set a fantastic example of kindness and supportiveness for the family. I’m sorry you had to lose your mom so quickly. I am confident that she felt surrounded by your love in her final days – a love that she cultivated your entire lives. Please accept my deepest sympathy, and share my condolences with the other members of your family.
Love,
Tanya
Where do I start……..A damp Kleenex in hand after watching the funeral. You all did such a wonderful job with Bev’s (Mom/grandma/Aunt/Friend) funeral. I had the privilege of first meeting Bev (Ma) though Colleen (Co Co) and her son’s Dale and Kieth. There was not a moment that I remember seeing her and not getting the update on the three of you and family I didn’t even know. Lunches at the Chinese Dragon and those funny stories I heard about her when she wasn’t present were always a highlight. I am so sorry for the loss all of you feel. Please know that Bev touched many and grief is expressed in so many ways, hold each other close and always remember there will always be a piece of her with you! My sincerest condolences – Tina Sharbonno
