Beverly Lindstrom
Beverly Irma (Berggren) Lindstrom was born to Yngve and Elsie Berggren on February 13, 1939, at the family farm near Strandquist Minnesota. She was promoted to heaven from hospice care at Rosewood on Broadway on July 4, 2019, with family by her side.
She graduated from Strandquist school in 1957 and cherished her school friends through her whole life. Beverly married Carroll Lindstrom of Argyle Minnesota on June 27, 1958 and to this union three sons were born: Randy, Calvin and Alan. They lived on the Lindstrom farm until 2007 when they moved into Newfolden for three years before moving to live with Calvin near Duluth. After Carroll’s passage, Bev moved to Fargo along with Calvin and Kristi.
Bev enjoyed playing piano and organ at the Newfolden Evangelical Free and Alma Lutheran Churches, and at funerals. She was an avid crafter/recycler, quilter, and notable baker of wedding and graduation cakes. She worked in the ASC office in Warren after high school and then in the school office in Strandquist. Beverly was a homemaker, babysitter, and piano teacher. After raising her family she became a Marshall County assessor for 15 years, custodian for the Argyle Migrants School, and home care assistant for the county for a season. She was an active member of the Newfolden Evangelical Free Church for many years serving in various teaching, ministry, and treasury positions.
Beverly is survived by two brothers, Newell (Loretta) Berggren of Newfolden, Minnesota, and Gene (Lana) Berggren of Clay, Kentucky; three sons, Randy (Diane) Lindstrom of Wood Lake, Minnesota, Calvin (Kristi) Lindstrom of Fargo, North Dakota, and Alan (Janet) Lindstrom of Oxford, New Jersey; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll, her parents Yngve and Elsie Berggren, and an infant granddaughter, Rachel.
The family will be handling services in Newfolden, Minnesota.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 15 at 6:30 pm at the Evangelical Free Church of Newfolden, Minnesota, with a devotional service at 7:00pm. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at the Newfolden Evangelical Free Church. Interment to follow at Wanger Baptist Cemetery, near Argyle, Minnesota.
