Beverly Otterson

Beverly Ann Otterson, age 85, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026. She was born November 20, 1940 at her home in Venlo, ND to John and Evelyn Krueger. She attended elementary school at a small country school in Shenford Township of Ransom Country. On June 25, 1961 she married Ralph Otterson of McLeod, ND and they farmed and ranched on the family farm in Venlo, ND where Beverly was born and raised. Here they welcomed a son, Cody, in July of 1962.

In 1967 Beverly’s family moved to Casselton, ND where they lived until 1994. She spent decades working for the Cass County Soil Conservation. If you had a tree planted in Cass County, she probably planted it. They moved to West Fargo, ND where they lived the rest of their lives.

One of Bev’s passions was traveling and seeing other parts of the country. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband. Together they saw most of the United States and created a lot of good memories. She also loved preserving newspaper clippings, photos, etc. She was the person you went to for any family history.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Otterson, her parents John and Evelyn Krueger, and her only sibling LeRoy Krueger. She is survived by her son, Cody and many nieces and nephews. She was deeply loved and will be sincerely missed.
