Beverly Alma Otterson, peacefully passed away on March 12, 2024 surrounded by family at Bethany Retirement Home, Fargo. She was a beloved mother, grandma, friend, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Beverly was born on April 3, 1932, to her loving parents, Peter and Alma Bunn, in Sheldon, North Dakota. On June 8, 1952, she married Marvin Otterson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Enderlin, ND. Beverly devoted her adult life to taking care of her home, outside tasks being her favorite, especially mowing on her John Deere Rider.

One of Beverly’s greatest joys was tending to her flower garden, finding solace and beauty among the blooms. She had a passion for puzzles of all kinds, from intricate jigsaws to challenging crosswords, and spent many hours engrossed in reading novels. Together with Marvin, she embarked on countless adventures in their motorhome exploring and spending time down south on Padre Island in Texas. Most of all, Beverly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Lester) Perlenfein; granddaughters, Jamie (Tom) Rudolph, Lindsay Perlenfein; great granddaughters, Emma and Aubrey; sisters, Ruby Johanneson, Betty (Richard) Bratland; and many nieces and nephews.

Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; parents; sister, Mavis Johnson; and brother, Lynn Bunn

Guestbook

  1. May your memories outshine your grief. Tell all of the stories that made Grandma special; laugh and cry! Plant a special garden of her favorite flowers this spring and summer so you all can enjoy the passion that she had. Hugs to all of your family!

  2. Our hearts are so sad to learn of Beverly’s passing. She and Marvin were our neighbors at the lake and we so enjoyed their company. Kevin and I are out of town and won’t be returning until after the service, otherwise we would be there. Peace to your entire family at this time.

  3. I have good memories of Beverly and Marv with Doris and her husband to K-mart on 13th Ave for coffee almost everyday. We had many laughs together ❤ thoughts and prayers are with you all. Pam
