Blaine Leo Paulus

Blaine Leo Paulus, age 73, of Fargo, ND, peacefully entered the presence of Our Lord on November 15, 2022, surrounded by family.

Blaine was born in Harvey, ND to his parents Frank and Regina (Weigel) Paulus on December 8, 1948. He attended school in Drake, ND. Blaine married JoAnne Kohler in 1968 and had three children: Sheila, Richard, and Ronald. He married Julie Morrow in 1995.

Blaine started out owning a service station in Drake where he was a mechanic. After a few years he stared driving truck for various companies including North Central Transportation and Tri-Line Transportation where he moved into shop foreman and safety director. He then moved on to Artic Refrigeration where he learned refrigeration mechanics which turned into a career at Interstate Detroit Diesel. Blaine finished his career at Northwest Truck and Trailer, retiring in 2015 after 12 years. He enjoyed the next 7 years spending time with family, gardening, being at the lake and raising his beloved Vizslas. Most of all he loved being around family.

Blaine is survived by his wife, Julie Paulus; his children – Sheila Paulus (Steve Armstrong); Richard (Jill) Paulus, and Ronald Paulus (Diane Cory); his siblings – Patsy (Bob) Richter, Roger Paulus, Rick (Carolyn) Paulus, Mary Kay (Mike) Tasker, Frankie Paulus, Irene Berndt, and Jim Paulus. Also surviving are his grandchildren – Dusty and Dawn Jensen, Skylar and Dylan Armstrong, Tanner and Paige Olson, Kaia and Aspyn Paulus,
Brittany (Ryan) Retzer, Levi Fischer (Kelsie Boppre), Reina Paulus and Lexi Cory; his great grandchildren – Parker Retzer, Braxtyn, Peyton and Easton Fischer; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Blaine was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Regina; his sister, Renee; his brother-in-law Duane; and his sister-in-law, Marcella.
