Blake Feist
August 13, 1982 ~ April 16, 2022
Blake's funeral service will be livestreamed below starting at 1:45 PM on Thursday. Please call the funeral home with any questions.
With hearts that are broken we release our loved one, Blake Allen Feist to a heavenly home where he will find the peace and contentment that eluded him on earth. He will be our guardian angel watching over the ones he loved while experiencing a joyous reunion with his father who he missed so much. Blake entered his heavenly home on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Essentia Health.
Our angel, Blake Allen, was born in the early morning hours of August 13, 1982, along with his twin brother Blaine. They were “two pounders” as their Dad used to call them as they were born prematurely to their mother Naomi (Mastrud) Feist and Mark Feist. Blake spent a long time in the NICU at Dakota hospital but grew along with his brother to be strong and healthy in spite of it. He was baptized at Messiah Lutheran and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church. He attended Lewis and Clark, Discovery Middle School, and graduated from Fargo South High School in 2001. He attended Moorhead State college for a short time and then moved to the Twin Cities where he worked for Northwest Airlines. Being so far from family, especially his twin did not work well for him, so he moved back to Fargo. He worked at various jobs until landing in a job he loved at Essentia Health and then Sanford Health. During his time at Essentia, he lost his best friend, his father Mark, to cancer and his life took a drastic turn.
Blake was a kind, giving person who absolutely loved his family and adored his nephew, Keagen Mark. He was a fun-loving person who loved a good joke, a good steak and the company of good friends. He loved his dog Jack and his brother’s dog “baby girl” Prada and mourned their loss when their time came.
The world has lost a good, kind soul who battled demons that he could not overcome. His friends and especially his loved ones will forever miss his presence in our life, and he will hold a special place in our hearts.
Left to mourn his passing are his mother Naomi Lundeen, Fargo, his twin brother, Blaine, (Jamie Asplin), nephews Keagen and Owen, and niece Mya, his stepmother Judie Feist, Fargo, stepsister Karla Buzick (Len Friedt) of Bismarck, ND.
He was preceded in death by his father Mark and stepfather, Rodney Lundeen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Share House of Fargo or 4 Luv of Dogs.

Blaine, you and your family are in our prayers. Such devastating news that Blake passed away. I will always remember our days at Sunmart and how he gave me crap all the time. 🙂 Rest in Paradise Blake! Keep everyone laughing up there.
Rest in peace my dear friend. Lots of fun times at Sanford
His struggles are over. Now he can rest in peace. Iove to you all,

I’m so sorry my dear friend💔 you were by my side through Sanford and Essentia days. I will miss you.
Blake, what a joy to have known you. Working with you at Sanford was always a fun time. ill never forget your smile and the twinkle in your eyes. You knew how to dish it and you were a great sport at taking it right back. You were the kind of person that one could occasionally butt heads and shake hands immediately after and move on like nothing happened. that is a rare and special quality to have. something we all can learn from. I know you missed your dad, your uncle and to know your dog Jack was there waiting for you, probably the first to greet you and cover your face with kisses. I know there have been struggles, but its a comfort to know those are over and its total peace now. Blake, know you added so much joy to this world, and you will be greatly missed but not forgotten. NO way. you had that kind of personality. you made a difference to many. God bless, and watch over your loved ones. it was a real pleasure to have known you. Thank you Blake.
Blake, i am at a loss for words… you will be missed. I hope you are at peace now

Oh how I will never forget the day you and your brother decided to throw me in the pool at your dad’s and had to walk home soaking wet and the way you always teased me about your brother. You will never be forgotten my friend…rest in peace.
Blake, so blessed to have had these 20 plus years to have been part of your life. So many good times to remember with you. Working at Sanford then Essentia was a blast. Jeffrey Muchow really said it all, and I second it. There really isn’t another person I know like you, and for that I’m also sad. Just know I will never forget you. Thank you Blake for being a great friend and a wonderful person to so many. And as I would always say after leaving your presence, Love you.
Blake will be missed by all that knew him. His easy smile, hardy laugh and his ever present “living the dream” will live in my heart forever.
