It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Charles Olson, a beloved husband, son, brother and retired Chief Master Sergeant in the North Dakota Air National Guard. Bob Olson, “Frontier Bob” as he was known by many of his friends was born on September 12, 1964, in Fargo, North Dakota. Bob passed away on September 8, 2024, at the U of M Medical Center.
A devoted son of Dale and Eileen Olson, Bob graduated from Fargo North High School in 1983 and earned a degree in Airplane Mechanics. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and companionship, making cherished memories that will be forever treasured. They made their home in Fargo, Harwood, Kindred and Florida before returning to the rolling hills of Valley City. He loved life, all of his family, including his Golden’s and Brittanie’s, Boomer, Jake, Elwood, Libby and currently Archie and Edith, Archie was truly his buddy. He was the most patriotic man and loved his country with a passion. He was dedicated, smart, and the hardest worker and could fix anything and loved a challenge. You will be missed Uncle Bob❤️
I never really knew you Bob.
Our mothers were close cousins and spent a lot of time together when we were very little. I have pictures of us hanging out as toddlers.
May you rest comfortably in the arms of our Gracious Lord and Savior.
My deepest sympathies to the whole family.

Our sincere sympathy to Marj, my cousin Eileen, his sister Nancy and all the family and friends that knew him. We are all in ” God’s Waiting Room”
Frontier Bob; Sir you will be missed. We had quite a few laughs in our time at the Air Guard. There was never a dull moment when you were around. I still have the Penny Stocks we both invested in around 2010. I am pretty sure they will finally make some money. We were certainly able to dream big. Marg, so sorry for your loss. You two were certainly made for each other. Rest in Peace Frontier Bob.
So Sorry we could not be there to share in your celebration of Bob’s life. We watched the livestream and got to really get to know what an amazing guy he was. So glad he stopped procrasinating and is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our prayers of sympathy ! Bob & Marlo Howard , Dana & Nyree Howard, Chad & Amanda and their families in Missouri and Colorado.
