Borghild Aanderud

Borghild Aanderud Hillsboro, North Dakota Borghild passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the Hillsboro Medical Center Hospital at the age of 83. Borghild Gudren Melvor was born on May 17, 1925 to Alf and Mari (Sagrusten) Melvor at the Berent Grondahl farm in Viking Township, near Maddock, ND. She was baptized and confirmed in the Viking Lutheran Church south of Maddock. Borghild married Stanley W. Aanderud on March 18, 1945 in that same church. They made their home in Arne Township. Later they moved to a farm near Maddock in North Viking Township, from there they resided at the Brunsdale dairy farm at Mayville. They moved to Grace City and due to health problems left for California where they lived until their retirement. After Stanley?s death she came back to North Dakota to lived in Hillsboro until her death. Borghild was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, her sisters, Mrs. Paul (Astrid) Kalin; Mrs. Marcus (Ragna) Evenson; her son in law, Charles Buletti; and her brother in law, Paul Kalin. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Buletti and Barbara (Mike) Siemens, both of California; two sons, Bruce Aanderud of California; and Steve (Marilyn) Aanderud of Hillsboro; and her sister, Alvhild (Jimmie) Olson of Hillsboro. Also surviving are her 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
