January 3, 1967 ~ January 26, 2025
Born in:
Crescent City, California
Resided in:
Fargo, North Dakota
On Sunday, January 26th, 2025, loving father and grandfather also known by his grandson as “Grandpa Sucker”, Brian Lee Goodman passed away peacefully, at 58 years old in his home.
Born in Crescent City, CA. He lived in Milton, ND until he moved to Fargo, ND to attend Agassiz and Fargo South; class of 1985. Brian attended NDSU and graduated from the Police Academy in Devils Lake. After graduating, Brian got his dream job of becoming a Sheriff’s deputy for Pembina County, ND for a year and a Sheriff’s deputy for Grand Forks County. While working those jobs, Brian would come back to work his ‘Dakota Chimney and Gas Fireplace’ business he had started before becoming a Sherrif’s deputy. Brian eventually moved back to Fargo and made Dakota Chimney his full time business, building it to something he was very proud of. Brian loved hunting, golfing, snowmobiling with his girls, spending time with his family, many family trips to Minneapolis, Medora and a big family trip to Disney World along with doing many projects around his home. He was always willing to help a neighbor, friend or family member with anything they may need. Also, taking his faithful companion Dōg with him everywhere he went was near the top of his list. Anyone who knew Brian, knew Dōg.
Brian married Keelie Stanley in 1992 in Fargo. They raised two daughters, Kiahna and Kiaira. Brian was never more proud of anyone or anything than his beautiful daughters, Kiahna and Kiaira. They were his sweethearts and his partners in goofing around at any time they could. Playing basketball in the driveway all night, cruising the cemetery looking for turkeys and deer, 4th of July firework craziness, pulling them, family friends and neighborhood friends up and down the block on sleds with the little snowmobiles that he got them. And as the kids grew older, he enjoyed cruises through the local parks and downtown along with a pizza night or quick stop at fast food. Anything his girls wanted, they just had to ask. They had daddy wrapped around their fingers.
Brian is survived by his daughters; Kiahna (Jake) Solem, Kiaira Goodman (Fiancé, Austin Von Hagen), Grandsons; Brant (4) and Dalton coming January 30th, 2025 and Keelie Stanley. Brothers, Travis Goodman and Darren Goodman.
Preceded in death by his faithful companion, best friend and soul dog, Dōg; his awesome golden retriever he always wanted. Dad, Dennis Goodman, Grandparents Verna and Glen Goodman and Walter and Ada Bowles along with many aunts, uncles and close friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:30 PM Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Bowler in Fargo.
Sorry to hear about your loss, TAPs
