Buddy Burbeck

Buddy Burbeck, 78 of Horace, ND, died Saturday, March 24, 2007 in St. Catherine?s Living Center, Wahpeton, ND. Buddy was born in 1928 in Doran, MN to Walter E. and Clara (Dauleg) Burbeck. After his schooling he worked in Montana on cattle ranches. He returned to North Dakota and worked as a truck mechanic for Myhra Truck Company. He married Bertha Lukanen in California and served in the US Army as a mechanic from 1951-1952. After his discharge, he worked at various gas stations and as a truck driver for five years. He returned to mechanics and worked for A1 Automotive for 33 years. During his retirement, he worked for the Moorhead Rest Stop and in his free time he enjoyed baking and woodworking. Buddy also had a lifelong passion for motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Walter A. Burbeck. Buddy is survived by his wife, Bertha of Horace, ND; children, Lynn (Roland ?Butch?) Williamson of Cheyenne, WY, Anita Burbeck of Horace, ND, Kevin Burbeck of Horace, ND; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
