Carmon "Corky" B Titus Jr.

March 13, 1947 ~ October 6, 2026

Born in: Minot, North Dakota
Resided in: Fargo, North Dakota

Carmon “Corky” Bell Titus Jr., age 79, was gathered up in God’s loving arms and carried into an eternity free from pain and disability on October 6, 2026.

Born in Minot, North Dakota, Corky lived a life dedicated to serving others and sharing love with those around him. He spent his early career finding fulfillment in his work as a police officer in Grand Forks, ND, before discovering his ultimate calling as an addiction counselor. Having walked the path of recovery himself for over 50 years, Corky’s own sobriety fueled his deep empathy and passion for guiding others as they walked their own journeys with addiction.

When it was no longer possible for him to continue working due to his progressive neurological disorder, Corky’s spirit of service never faded. He poured his energy into volunteering at Oak Grove Lutheran School, where he could often be found faithfully mowing the lawn or warmly greeting people while taking tickets at school athletic games.

He possessed a spirit that was larger than life with a laugh that could fill a room and an opinion to match. Above all else, Corky cherished his family. There was nothing he loved more than bragging to everyone he met about his family members and celebrating their accomplishments.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmon and Blanch, his brother, Ron, sisters Cheri and Randi, and daughter Kimberli Kerr. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Stenehjem-Titus; his daughters, Kris Rademacher, McKayla Schmitt, and McKenzie Titus; and his son, Carmon Titus; as well as extended family members, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and countless friends whose lives he touched along the way.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at HIA Hospice, particularly the Yellow Team and the staff at Heather’s House, for the compassionate and extraordinary care they provided to Corky in his final stages of life. They were truly angels on earth to him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 5, 2026 at the Community Room at Soul Solutions Recovery Center, 1801 38th St. S., Fargo, ND. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to HIA Hospice.
