Carol A. Bjelde, age 56, passed away Monday, December 13 in Essentia Health, Fargo.

Carol was born on June 7, 1954 to Orlean and Loraine Bergstrom in Grand Forks, ND. She graduated from Grand Forks Central High School, continuing her education later in life earning an associate's degree in computer science technology at Interstate Business College. She married Garry Bjelde on January 25, 1975 and they made their home in Milwaukee, WI while Garry served in the Coast Guard. They returned to Grand Forks after his honorable discharge, then school and work took them to Wahpeton ND; Norfolk, NE; and back to Grand Forks before settling in Fargo for the past 23 years.

She was employed at WalMart in Dilworth for the past 9 years, most recently serving as Sales Coordinator in the jewelry department. She was empathetic and caring while serving her customers and fellow workers. Throughout life she brought understanding and comfort to friends and family looking out for and assisting those struggling with personal challenges.

She leaves as survivors her husband of 35 years, Garry Bjelde; son Kevin Bjelde; daughter Tonya (Tracy) Fees; grandchildren Catherine, Lucas, Christian, Jaden, Landon and Lilly; mother-in-law Shirley Bjelde; brother Gary (Jan) Bergstrom, sister Cheryl Bergstrom, sister Linda (John) Lund; and many nieces and nephews, and members of Garry's family who were very special to her.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Orlean and Loraine Bergstrom, Brother Harlan and father-in-law Daryl Bjelde.

  4. Sorry about your loss I worked at Walmart with her didn’t know her personally but she was a very nice person and I will miss her around walmart.
