Carol F. (Bushaw) Buegel, 87, longtime Fargo resident, passed away at the Eventide  Linden Tree Assisted Living Facility in Moorhead, MN on February 18, 2014; under the care of Red River Valley Hospice and her loving sons, John and Donald.

Carol was born on December 25, 1926 in Grand Forks, ND to Owen Henry and Lillian Viola (Brinton) Bushaw, the sixth of ten children. Carol graduated from Central High School in Grand Forks; later attending Akers Business College.  She worked for many years for Dr. Ralph Leigh in his Grand Forks office as a stenographer.  Carol was married to Hermann Frederick (Fritz) Buegel, Jr. on August 19, 1947, in Grand Forks, ND.

Carol enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, traveling, and picnics in the park with family and friends. Carol was known for her skill as a gracious hostess and for her great cooking. She left behind many cherished recipes that will live on after her at future family gatherings. Carol will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, John (Arlette) Buegel of Fargo, ND; Donald (Huyen) Buegel and their two daughters Lesley Anne and Ashley Kate of Moorhead, MN; sister Colleen Hauser of Fargo, ND; brother Dewey (Pat) Bushaw of Denver, CO, as well as many nieces and nephews in Fargo/Moorhead, and scattered across the country.

She was preceded in death by her parents and seven of her brothers and sisters.
