Carolyn Jean (Lang) Radeck, 81, passed away on February 10, 2025. She was born on January 6, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas and was the first of seven children born to Frank J. and Arleda D. (Studer) Lang. Her family moved from St. Cloud, MN to Fargo when Carolyn was in the 5th grade. She attended Holy Spirit Elementary School and Shanley High School in Fargo.

She married Paul S. Nichols, and they had two children, Debra Marie and Steven John, and they raised their family in Moorhead. Carolyn married Duane F. Radeck in 1994, and she gained two more “kids” – Donny and Becki. Carolyn and Duane lived happily together in Fargo for all of their 30-year marriage.

Carolyn had several careers over the course of her life: Northwestern Bell, ABC Seamless, Family Christian Counseling, owner/operator of The Boutique in Fargo, Wells Fargo Bank and, most recently, Dakota Vines Vineyard and Winery where she was a beloved hostess/server, a champion bottle-filler, a cheerful face, and our number one fan.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Duane, her adult children: Deb (Bob) Grosz, Fargo; Steve (Nancy) Nichols, Lakeville, MN; Don (Kim) Radeck, Fargo; Becki Radeck, Fargo; grandchildren: Jackie (Lucas) Reuter, Fargo; Tony (Nicki Sneed) Grosz, Moorhead; Alex Grosz, Minneapolis; Amanda Nichols, Apple Valley, MN; Amber Nichols, Denver, CO; Tommy (Emily) Radeck, Fargo; Paige Radeck, Fargo; and great-grandchildren: Nora, Alice, Diana, and James Reuter, Fargo; and Henry, Jack and William Radeck, Fargo; sisters and brothers: Marilyn Jamieson, Fargo; Shirley Olson, Hawley; Frank (Michelle) Lang, Nevis, MN; Charlotte (Steve) Rose, Brainerd, MN; and Bob Lang, Fargo; many nieces, nephews, and close friends, and a great many people from Dakota Vines who became special friends over the years. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Rosie Rheault, brothers-in-law James Jamieson and Warren Olson, and nephew Jimmy Jamieson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fargo.

Carolyn was an incredible wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandma, Gigi, and friend. She loved adventure, and family always came first. She cherished every holiday, birthday party, concert, play, and game. Carolyn was a beautiful person, and she will be truly missed. Honor her memory by appreciating each day, holding your loved ones close, and supporting them in everything they do.
