Carrie Lyn Devitt, 57 of West Fargo, ND died on Friday, August 23, 2024 at her residence.

Carrie was born in Lisbon, ND on June 23, 1967 to Leonard and Lorraine (Sandvig) Devitt. Carrie attended school in Milnor, ND. She lived with Ray and Gen Carlson during her school career.

Carrie moved to Fargo, ND after graduating from Milnor High School. There she lived at the Svee Home until a few years ago when she moved to 903 Mulberry Lane, West Fargo, ND, an intermediate care facility run by Red River Human services.

She is survived by her sister, Sandy (Rodney) Mathias, Stirum, ND; sister-in-law, Judy Devitt, Lisbon, ND; brother Tom Devitt, Lisbon; sisters Jonel (Hank) Jeske, Mapleton, Emmy Carlblom, Lisbon, Yvonne (Gene) Foyt, Lisbon, Mari (Joe) Jameson, Fargo, and Cecile (Wayne) Kilgore, Lisbon, ND.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Clint Devitt; and her brother-in-law, Jim Carlblom.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Thursday, September 5th at 2pm at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo, ND. There will be a visitation prior to the service at 1pm with a lunch served after.

Carrie was well loved by many special people. Thank you to the Carlson family LaRae, Denise, Vanessa, and Erin for being her loving family during school. Thank you to the staff and residents of the Svee Home, Vocational Training Center 903 Mulberry and Red River Human Services for providing an amazing home, work, coworkers, entertainment, and more friends than anyone could imagine having. Our sister was truly loved by many. We will all miss her.
