Cathleen Ann Nicklay was born April 19, 1957, in Pelican Rapids, Minn. She grew up and went to school in Alexandria, Minn. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1975 and St. Luke’s School of Nursing in 1977. Her children, Stacy and Brian, were her pride and joy. Cathy was a skilled cross-stitcher who savored reading and enjoyed musicals. She loved to spend time with her family. She loved visits from her children and grandchildren, and she spent much of her time with her parents, siblings and nieces and nephews. She always found the time to take care of others and do what she could to make their days brighter. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her twin sister, Carolyn Strnad. She adored their many adventures, especially their 50th birthday trip to Mackinac Island.
Cathy’s faithful friend, her yorkie Peanut, was at her side for the past 13 years, bringing her laughter and companionship.
