Cecilia Menier
Cecilia (Cece) Octavie Menier was born March 14, 1932 in Leroy, ND to Albert and Amanda (Beaulieu) Dease. She graduated in 1950 from Walhalla High School, Walhalla, North Dakota. On June 20, 1951 she was united in marriage to Joseph August Menier. They remained in Walhalla most of their married life and raised four daughters. Cece and Joe loved to dance to big band music, play bridge with their friends and spend time with their grandkids. They moved to Fargo in 1989 after Joe’s retirement. While in Fargo they worked as apartment managers until Joe’s death in 1991. Cece was employed in a variety of positions through the years: Astro Com, the Pembilier Nursing Center and Sam’s Club. Cece married Ron Renville on August 13, 1994. They lived in Kerkhoven, MN and Mesa, Arizona until Ron’s death. Cece then returned to Fargo. In retirement, she loved playing whist and watching soap operas. She collected beanie babies and never met a garage sale or secondhand store she didn’t love.
Cece Menier, age 87, died on March 7, 2020 at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla, ND.
Cece is survived by three daughters, Brenda Menier, Fargo, ND; Renae (Tom) Erdmann, Fargo, ND; Terri (Dean) Beauchamp, Fargo, ND; a sister-in-law, Pauline (Albert) Dease, San Diego, CA; 11 grandchildren, Joe (Christina) Cook, Walhalla, ND, Dustin (Becky) Fischer, Maple Grove, MN, Amanda (Chris) O’Connor, Walhalla, ND, Danielle Erdmann, Hingham, MA, Sara Stevenson, Cavalier, ND, Kayla Beauchamp, Fargo, ND, Terra (Matt Webb) Menier, Lakeville, MN, Jon (Lindsay) Erdmann, Fargo, ND, Kelsey Beauchamp, Fargo, ND, Eric (Adrienne) Erdmann, Fargo, ND, Tanner Beauchamp, Fargo, ND; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, brothers (Joseph Dease, Albert Dease, William Dease) and sisters (Evelyn Dease, Theresa Holland, Lucy Anderson) and daughter (Vicki Cook).
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo with a visitation an hour prior.
Memorials can be directed to Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla, ND.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is so difficult whether they were sick or not. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
