Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I worked overnights with Chad for a couple years. He was a personal mentor to me. He had so much knowledge to share, and took special time to show me new techniques and skills that would help me grow in my career. I will miss him greatly, and will never forget how much he taught me and supported me over the years. This is truly a sad loss.

  2. I lived with Chad at a couple different apartments in our time at UND in the early 90s. When I heard he passed, I got out an old photo album from those days and reminisced about those fun times and had some phone calls and text conversations with some our other friends and roommates from that time. May God bless you, Chad.

  3. Jeanne and family,

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your son and brother, may God wrap his arms around you in this sad time.

  4. I remember Chad from his days working at Altru Hospital laboratory. We worked many hours after the 1997 Grand Forks flood performing water quality testing to get the hospital back into service. He was such a valuable technologist. So sorry to hear of his passing.

  5. Our very deepest condolences, Steinwand family, from the Treleaven family. So sorry for your loss.

  6. Jeanie and family, so very sorry to hear of Chad’s passing. I will always have great memories of tubing at the lake with Chad and the Steinwand family as well as the time we spent in Grand Forks as roommates. Hugs and prayers to all of you during this time.

  7. So sorry for the loss of Chad. He was a great person and will be deeply missed. I still remember the four of us on the farm running around playing when we were younger. I remember going to the cabin one year and all the fun times we had there. My condolences to the rest of the family. You will be missed, my cousin.

  8. There are very few people whom I have known for as long as I’ve known Chad. He was a loyal, patient, and caring friend. We grew up together. We were at each other’s birthday parties as kids, and we were classmates at Border Central and Langdon High. We graduated from the same medical technology program at UND. Chad was one of my roommates through most of college, and we spent most of our time outside the dorm or apartment in the same social circles. We had so much fun with each other and with our friends in Grand Forks. He and I have been separated by space and time as our lives went different directions, but I think about him often. He’ll be greatly missed.

  9. Jeanne and family,
I am so sorry to hear of this tragic loss. Chad was a special classmate at both Border Central Elementary and Langdon High. He was my next door neighbor in Langdon. Chad was kind, helpful, genuine and intelligent, always offering to tutor in advanced math. He had the top GPA upon high school graduation. Chad was also a room-mate of Jason’s at UND. I always remember him on his May 5th birthday, as there were a number of classmates at Border Central with birthdays in that first week of May.
Thinking of all of you so much.
Rest in peace Chad, you will never be forgotten.
    Liz & Jason Sillers

  10. I worked with Chad for many years. Chad was a great lab tech. Not only because he was really good at what he did, but because at the heart of everything he did he had the patient’s best interest at heart. If he questioned a process or procedure it was because he wanted the best for our patients. Kindness, integrity & just being a good human being. I am sure those are qualities he exemplified through his life outside of work as well .He will be missed by myself & many others at Essentia Health.

  11. Chad was truly one of the nicest and kindest people I have ever known. My condolences to the Steinwand family, may He rest in peace.

  12. Jeannie big hugs to you through this horrible hard time. To all of Chad’s family and friends my heartfelt sympathy at such a loss. Prayers.

  13. Jeannie and Family, we were so sorry to read about Chad, Remember so well your 3 little blondes. Much love going your way.

  14. Chad was first one of my students and then he became a fellow coworker at Altru Health System. Chad was bright and kind. He had a great sense of humor and was well liked by his coworkers. He was always a man of integrity.

My deepest condolences to his family.

  15. Jeannie and family,
Our deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your son and brother. We have been thinking of you all. I will never forget being in the hospital after having Alex almost 28 years ago and Chad coming in to do an early morning blood draw from me. I will be honest that I was a little skeptical at first – (ha!) but he did great! I know Damon has many more stories. Prayers to you all during this difficult time.

  16. Jeannie and family. So sorry to hear about Chad. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
    Ron and Connie Erickson

  17. I just heard about this and my heart is heavy for you Jeannie and family! Prayers for strength and comfort during these days
