Funeral Mass:

Charlene Renee Reinpold (Shypkowski), beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on November 25, 2024 at Northridge Health Facility in New Hope, MN.

Char was born to Walt and Tillie Shypkowski on November 14, 1954 in Dickinson, ND. Her family then moved to Glendive, MT, where they lived until Char’s junior year of high school. They moved to Fargo, where she graduated from Fargo North in 1973. She went to college for Occupational Therapy at NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND, where she met Steve Reinpold. They were married on June 25, 1977 at Saint Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo, and made their home on a farm in Hillsboro.

Char worked as a traveling Occupational Therapist for two years before having children, which was her primary job that she devoted her life to. She worked at a few places in Hillsboro, including Subway, baking at the grocery store, and as a cook at the school. She is remembered from her time at the school for cooking tasty meals from scratch for the kids.

Char was an avid gardener, canner, and food preserver. Her garden was always immaculate, and she liked sharing her bounty with family and friends. She enjoyed making beautiful quilts and quilted stockings for her children and grandchildren. Char will be remembered for her sense of humor, peach pies, housekeeping skills, and gentle, kind demeanor. She was always available for her children and grandchildren, and provided them with delicious, homemade meals and baked goods. She loved her family well.

Char is survived by her husband, Steve, children Leah (Brian) Delaney, Fargo, ND; Jon (Kim) Reinpold, Amenia, ND; Kevin Reinpold, Hillsboro, ND; Robert (Adaire) Reinpold, Hillsboro, ND; 13 grandchildren; Siblings Gene (Mary Jo) Shypkowski, Rancho Palos Verde, CA; Darla (RJ), Bemidji, MN; Randy (Joan) Shypkowski, Fargo, ND; Rae Lynn Belmer, Peoria, AZ; Joleen (Jim) Narum, Barnesville, MN; and Rick Shypkowski, Cropwell, AL.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Tillie Shypkowski, and an unborn son.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
