Charles "Charlie" Beeber

October 14, 1946 ~ June 16, 2026

Born in: Lamoure, North Dakota
Resided in: Fargo, North Dakota

Charles “Charlie” Paulson Beeber, age 79, of Fargo, ND, departed this life on June 16, 2026, at SMP-St. Catherine’s in North Fargo, ND. He was born on October 14, 1946, in Lamoure, ND, to Harold and Mabel (Paulson) Beeber.

Charlie dedicated six years of service in the Navy, beginning on October 31, 1964, followed by an additional 16 and a half years in the Air National Guard. His commitment to service was a testament to his character and dedication to his country. While he pursued some college education at North Dakota State University, his heart lay in serving the community as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service from February 23, 1969, until his retirement on October 13, 2001. After retirement, he continued to support his local community as a “lunch lady” at Agassiz, a security guard at the Courtyard by Marriott in Moorhead, and a cashier/gas station attendant at Sam’s Club in Fargo.

Charlie’s contributions did not end with his professional endeavors. He was a proud member of the Freemasons, joining on October 3, 1975, and earning the distinguished title of 33rd degree Freemason, serving as Past Grand Master of North Dakota from 2012 to 2013. As a prolific storyteller with an exceptional memory for dates, he captivated those around him with tales of his life experiences. His love for dogs was evident throughout his life, cherishing the companionship of many beloved pets, including Bif, Spike, Coney, Neen, Strider, Cassidy, Bailey, Sassy, Lucy, Angel, and Venus.

Charlie is survived by his wife Linda Kathleen Beeber (Fettes); sons Christopher Fettes Beeber of Fargo, ND, and Joshua Michael (Michelle) Beeber of West Fargo, ND.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mabel Beeber; grandfather, Charlie Paulson; and sister Janet Beeber.

A private service will be held in honor of Charlie by the Freemasons, celebrating his life, legacy, and enduring spirit. In this moment, we gather as family and friends to remember a remarkable man who touched the lives of so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter, honoring Charlie’s lifelong love for dogs.

  8. Charlie to many but Chuck to me was one of my first friends. He was my cousin who was born six months ahead of me. Chuck and I spent a lot of time together as preschool kids when he lived in LaMoure while our grandfather Charles Paulson was living. When he moved with his parents to Fargo, we spent time playing at Crystal Lake in the summers. We have pictures of us with great tans making cross-stitch dish towels in the evenings and floating on inner tubes and rowing boats in the daytime. We attended each other’s weddings a couple months apart. As adults, we saw each other mainly at family picnics and events. I cherish the time I had with my honorable and kind cousin who will remain a big part of my happy memories. I wish Linda, Chris and Josh the peace of knowing the love and joy and comfort they brought this good man every day. May God’s Peace be with all that knew him.

  9. Chris, it’s been many years since we’ve seen each other, and I lost your contact info. I’m so very sorry to hear about your dad passing. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

  10. Linda, Sad to see that the day came to say goodbye to Charlie. He was always so cheery, positive and slightly ornery…but would we have wanted him any other way? I think not. Please stop by to say hi some time. Tina @ MState
