Charles J. DeBoer, 81 of Fargo, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park, MN. Charles was born and raised in Cogswell, ND. He moved to Fargo and began working for Goldena Mills which later became Red River Grain, GTA, and eventually Harvest States. Charles spent his entire career with the company. He had oversight of a four state territory and retired in 1999 due to a health condition. Charles married Clara (Parisien) Betz on August 28, 1961 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo. Charles and Clara worked together in the Real Estate Company named DeBoer Deluxe Dwelling from 1966-1986. He was a member of the Cogswell Legion and enjoyed time spent with family and friends at their cabin on Buffalo Lake in South Dakota. Charles is survived by his wife, Clara of Fargo; children, Lila ?Janie? Dalton of Minneapolis, MN, Debra ?Debbie? Onsum (Darcy) of Perham, MN, Ervin L. Betz (Kaye) of West Fargo, ND, Lyle ?Dale? Betz , Fargo, ND, Monte R. DeBoer (Laura) of Norfolk, VA and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Melvin DeBoer and his infant son. Visitation: Tuesday, March 17 from 5-7 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and also one hour prior to Mass at the church on Wednesday. Prayer Service: Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass: Wednesday, March 18 at 10:30 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, West Fargo. Interment: Holy Cross North Cemetery, Fargo. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
