Charles passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Sanford Health in Fargo at the age of 98.
Charles Fredrick Henka was born on September 20, 1912, the son of Julius and Mary (Kuhn) Henka on the family farm where he resided until his death.
Charles was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.
Charles loved farming and being outdoors with his sons. Charles had served on the Halstad Elevator Board, the Halstad Creamery and also was a Hillsboro Township Officer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his 2 brothers, William and John; and his 3 sisters, Louise Henka, Emma Allen, and Wilma Frankfurth.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Olga; his sons, Kenneth and Keith; his sister-in-law, Ruth Henka; and several nieces and nephews.
