  7. Fargo ND
It is with such fondness that I think of Charlotte and Bill Morrow. They were like a 2nd set of parents to me and we had so very many great times and laughs at horse shows and horse events over the years. Charlotte was such a character and so very easy to be around and hang out with at shows. Bill teased and teases me endlessly, but I loved it and gave it right back. I learned so much from them about Arabians and showing Arabians and between them and George Anderson, Casey Brantner, Shirley Holt (Miller), Dave and Bill Prentice, Grant Johnson, and so many other old school horsemen, I felt I got an wide range of horse education. Charlotte was always a true cheerleader at shows and I received so much encouragement from her in my first years of showing. I will miss her warm and comforting smile, always. Love to you, Bill.

  16. Elgin illinoisMy time working horses and learning from Bill and Charlotte were some of the happiest moments of my life. Charlotte was such a keen exhibitor, and her attention to detail and cleanliness was something I carried with me. I am out of horses (for the most part) except for a few students, and occasional judging jobs in the Chicago area. One of my favorite Charlotte memories was helping her shoot warm brandy down a bunch of snotty nosed babies that the vet had not been able to clear up…it worked. Another time I was breaking a nasty little mare for Art Perschke that was there for breeding. The mean thing took off and ran over Charlottes riding lawn mower. being a stubborn Norwegian, I was going to ride her out, but Charlotte yelled at me to get of this instant!! I did , and she called Art to come get the mare.I can only smile when I look back at my time at shows and at the farm in Dilworth with Bill and Charlotte. My mom also sends her blessing to Bill, Patsy, and the whole Morrow family. Hopefully I will see Bill at Scottsdale next year.God Bless and for all the wonderful times a horse crazy young boy could of dreamed of. I am truly blessed for having them in my life at such a formative time. Thank you Bill and Charlotte for everything.Getting to show Sur Lancelot was still a high point of pride in my life.

  21. San Marcos TexasPenny, Sorry about the loss of your Mother. Our parents are our rock and it is unsettling to lose that part of our lives. Beauty school seems like a lifetime away and the problems we had then are small when you consider what was ahead. We are lucky to have had the families we did, that is for sure!

  22. Jamestown ND

  23. This is 6 years later but just saw she had passed. Bill and Charlotte were my childhood! In other words, I was a child who LOVED horses and was fortunate to drive through Dilworth weekly , with my grandparents. My family was poor and having a horse was a fantasy but I would open the windows and gaze lovingly at those magnificent Arabs as a child. I still , at the age of 67, look longingly, remembering the horses, at the former Morrow farm every time I drive thru Dilworth. You are so much in my memories. God Bless You for bringing such joy to my childhood!
