Resided in: Moorhead, Minnesota

Chase William VanWagner, age 41, died unexpectedly on May 16, 2024, at Sanford in Fargo, ND.

He was born in Flint, Michigan on November 17, 1982. Chase was a truck driver and loved his family fiercely. He had four children and was married to Madeline, the love of his life.

He was a good man, a loving husband, and a dedicated father. He was also a beloved Uncle.

Chase is survived by his wife (Madeline), his children (Aiden, Atticus, Asher, and Luna), his parents, his sisters, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Chase did not want a funeral, because he wanted those he loved to honor his memory by living their lives to the fullest extent, instead of gathering in grief. He was also an organ donor and will also live on through those his donation helps.

Guestbook

  1. You will be so missed. I don’t even have the words. Thank you for being a friend. I will do my part to help Madeline and the kids navigate life during this time.

  2. Chase is an amazing man, father and husband… He is gone too soon. He will be sorely missed.

  3. We will miss Chase and his funny stories and loving ways with Madeline and the trio. He was truly part of our family. Mary & Russ (Grams & Papaw)

  4. I can’t even begin to express the depths of my heartache for you and the kids, Madeline. I love you all and loved Chase. I am forever appreciative of how he loved and cared for you all and we will all keep his memory alive and well. We miss you, Chase.

  5. I’m so sorry for your loss. He was an amazing husband, father, and person. It’s impossible to find the words. I hope his memory fills you with love in the difficult days ahead.

  6. I’ve known Chase since I was probably 6 years old. Growing up I used to visit my dad in New Lothrup every weekend and Chase and I always spent time together. He was my closest friend back then and I felt like his family was my own. We’d play backyard football, basketball, walk around town, jam old school hip-hop, and hang out at his house. Chase was a wonderful human and know he’ll be missed tremendously. Some of my best memories are spending time with Chase as a kid (despite my severe care allergy lol), I still loved going to see him and the family.

To his family… I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending lots of love and great memories.
