Cheryl Roehrich

cheryl roehrich
Cheryl Denise Roehrich, 67, passed away at her home near Alice, ND on March 10, 2022 from cancer. She was born in Baudette, MN but lived all across the U.S. throughout the first half of her life which reflected her adventurous spirit and ability to roll easily with change. She lived a humble life, giving her time and energy to support the people she loved in any way that she could. Her creativity was limitless and always remarkable no matter the subject of her attention; be it interior design, outdoor Christmas lights, cooking and baking, planning special occasions, etc. Her standard for excellence and beauty was evident in everything she touched from her homemade potato salad with self-grown purple potatoes to her hand embroidered flour sack towels that she loved to gift. She will be dearly missed but has left an impression that will live on in all of the hearts who are near to her. Although she was so vibrant with a list of dreams unmet, her death was not in vain, but instead she saw it as a graduation to eternal life in heaven. Her faith in Jesus Christ as her personal savior was a guidepost to her whole life. That was even more evident in her last months as she openly and frequently expressed full confidence and belief that her life was in God's hands and was being used to fulfill his plan and will (Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."). She desires for all people to hear the song "Sorry I never knew you" as sung by The Rebels, please take a moment to listen if you are able. She also wanted all to know that you can be 100% sure of your soul going to heaven if only you "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Acts 16:31". No other action is needed by you for salvation; Ephesians 2:8-9 states "For by grace are we saved through faith, and that is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast." She is survived by her husband Dennis Roehrich, siblings, four daughters with their father Roland Lende ((Lacey (Dan Rolland, ND); Chanelle Lende, Utah; Crystal (Ryan Archbold, Alaska); Sable (Matthew Anderson, Alaska)), five Step-sons ((Shannon (Jenn) Roehrich; Travis Roehrich; Toby (Amy) Roehrich; Scotty Roehrich; Tanner Roehrich)), 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and her three sister-like friends Myrna Lende, Donna Lende, and Lonna Ristvedt. She is preceded in death by her parents Virginia Anderson and Donald Glessing. No services are planned at this time; she will be cremated and cremains will be buried in northern Minnesota. She has requested that in liu of sending flowers, you may consider making a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of her as she believed so greatly in their mission.

  11. Cherie was a sister of my heart! The sister I never had… even now, months later, I find it hard to write this. She made my life better. She’s the one I could call at 11pm and I knew she was awake. I miss that! We met (and Donna) because then we were all married to brothers. That changed but our love and friendship never did. I knew we could talk about anything…. I miss our trips, our phone calls, cards, her awesome baking, her love of animals, and everything else! The world is a darker place with her gone. Rest In Peace, Cherie, you earned it. Myrna 💜

  12. My mother’s obituary described her very well. No matter what life through at her, she lived her life trusting in the Lord. She was a wonderful mother, friend, and human being and is missed by all who knew and loved her. I thank God I was able to be with her as her soul departed this earth for her eternal home.
