Cheryl LeRud Fargo, North Dakota Cheryl Ann LeRud, age 60, of Fargo, died on Friday, April 4, 2008, at home under the care of her family and Hospice of the Red River Valley. Cheryl Schmidt was born on May 26, 1947 to Lawrence and Delores (Carlson) Schmidt in Mayville, ND. She was educated in Fargo, and started waitressing at a young age. She waitressed for 33 years, including 16 years at the Trader and Trapper, Highway Host and Moorhead Country Club. In the past few years she has done property management with her husband. She married David LeRud on February 1, 1980 at Our Savior?s Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN. She was an active volunteer at the church serving on the council. Cheryl was a great cook and could make the best fudge, which will be especially missed at Christmas time. She loved to play pool and bingo. Cheryl is survived by her husband, David of Fargo; her children, Tammy (Brian) Monson of West Fargo, ND; Keith (Rhonda Heald) Dobler of Fargo; Roger (Vicki Buesgens) Hovelson of Fargo; her grandchildren, Dustin Monson, Adam Dobler, and Nick and Angel; and her mother, Delores Olsen of West Fargo. Also surviving are her siblings, Jerald ?Jerry? (Linda) Schmidt of Devils Lake, ND; Donald (Marlys) Schmidt of Fargo; Lisa Useldinger of Fargo; Sandra (Bob) Schwartz of Litchville, ND; and Bradley (Patricia) Schmidt; her stepchildren, David (Jesse) LeRud and Trisha (Dennis) Pickar ? and their families; several nieces and nephews; and a close family friend, Alfred Rieniets.
